First real snow
last night
My heart lifts
January light
My poem was published in SMILE (WINTER 2000-01); and reprinted in SMILE (FALL/WINTER 2009-10).
placing the new calendar
on the wall
all the new spaces
without words
God’s time
spruce tree branches
decorated with snow
winter garden
And the Word

and dwelt among us . . .
full of grace
and truth.
From John 1:14 (KJV)
