some time
in my small study
so I do not miss
small gold leaves
in the wind

some time
in my small study
so I do not miss
small gold leaves
in the wind
always seems
a short time
tiny rows of corn
grow tall in fields
and then the harvest
grey sky and blue
a tree that will lose
its leaves and
rest awhile
grow anew
Monday
and planning
the week
what will grow
what should rest

dragonfly rests
for a moment
on the tree branch
long enough for me
to see each wing
used books
new for me
light on old
and new leaves
of a house plant
