early fall
small brown blanket
from my mother’s home
adds beauty and warmth
to the sunroom
Monday
and planning
the week
what will grow
what should rest

This is a favorite poem,
and good to offer in different ways
over the years.

cold
Lake Michigan winds
a tiny bird
seeks shelter
by the kitchen window
leaves of bleeding hearts
now gold
so do broken hearts mend
so does grief heal
Autumn grace
This poem was a gift. I am grateful to share again here, in large print.

pink clouds
span the horizon
seagulls take flight
stretching to read
new books
gardens growing
long before we came here
how deep the roots
must be and decades old
planted in God’s earth
