Garden Haiku

January 8, 2021 Ellen Grace Olinger

time for lunch
cardinals by a pumpkin
in the garden

We bought pumpkins last year, and also received two as a gift. I loved the orange color as the gardens faded. Now they are in the snow, along with perennials that will grow again.

Thank you

Northern sun
shines on frozen beach
still the days grow shorter

on the wall

November garden

November 1, 2020 Ellen Grace Olinger

November garden
fallen leaves  so much has died
a single rose blooms

An old poem still new – always beauty, always hope.
