cold April winds
and Spring in the house
hyacinths bloom
strength and help
of kind words
fragrance of hyacinths

filling my heart with hope
greater than my mind

small gifts
sustain hope
add together
light falls
on my Bible
and poetry
by my chair
POEMS FROM OOSTBURG, WISCONSIN
lilies from a store
in the sunroom
lasted a long time
and fade now
still beautiful
sunrise
and I pray
a few Psalms
for as long
as I can remember
the Psalms
and today
my new Bible
with larger print
and new reading
glasses
As I pray a Psalm, on this sunny morning, I think “February patience.” I’ll try a poem.
praying a Psalm
in my small study
trees and sky
the verses bring
beauty and hope
to Winter days
and all days
February Patience – new post and poem today at POEMS FROM PSALMS AND NATURE.
kitchen work
I say “Good Morning”
to the generations
in holiday photos
on the refrigerator
cards on the table
it will take some time
to learn all the news
and I simply pray
that they all be well
